“You cannot transform people out there unless you too are transformed”

A lesson from Mongol Empire

-He was able to change the whole of Mongolia and parts of the eastern culture

-In 70 years, he was able to change a tribal nation into an estate. Here is how he did it:

-He used unity: -He saw everyone as one

-He encouraged respect between each person

-He even longed for the land to become one.

He was consistent and had values: He was able to do 70 miles in a day. We as Christians need to persevere and do even more if we want to win the nations.

Diversity and cosmopolitan

Innovative: Do not be so mean with your ideas. It is important to know that while some can be innovative others, have the ability to turn an idea into reality e.g . By financing it. What you have in your mind needs to outlive you.

You need to learn from other people’s mistakes. That is what wise men do.

Do not be intimidated by the devil. He is under your league. “The last time I checked he was under your feet”.

CHALLENGE TO BELIEVERS: If Mongol Empire was able to do all these great things and he wasn’t even born again, how much more can we do as believers?

Psalms 90:12

“Teach us to number our days aright that we may gain a heart of wisdom”

It is important that you learn how to number your days. Everyone is changing (that’s a fact of life). If you are not aware of such facts, chances are that you will grow old but won’t grow up.

You are growing old: To prove it, you have your Identity card longer than you had it last year. You realize that when you hit your 20s, the people who used to tell you how great you will be, suddenly keep quiet. At this age, they expect you to have at least started showing signs of maturity and excellence.

It is surprising that some people have phones worth over ksh. 30, 000 yet they are still living with their parents and guardians. It makes no sense. Just like Ksh. 1000 you have a choice to either invest what God has blessed you with or waste it.

At the age of 30 you should have learnt to be independent. Get out of your parent’s/guardian’s house and experience life in a whole new way.

It is very unrealistic that at your 30’s all your friends are still teenagers. Don’t you know that iron sharpens iron? You need to associate more with people within your age bracket for you to know how well to tackle the challenges you are facing. Probability is that those within your age group have either passed through what you are passing through or are experiencing it at the time you approach them. Sharing it with them gives you the satisfaction that you are not alone and help you learn how to deal with it.

H.O.T AT 2 YEARS - AN EVENT THAT SAW THE BIRTH OF H.O.T 27+

The Home of Transformation (H.O.T) met last weekend (12^th July 2014) at Lutheran Plaza Restaurant for an evening like no other. It was a night when we were celebrating our second anniversary since the group was formed under the leadership of Mr. Kelvin Obonyo who is currently the general overseer.

Many lives have been transformed by the group as was evident in the testimonies of all those who had the chance to share their stories.

“I never knew that youths could meet and have a party of a lifetime without anyone taking drugs or alcohol”, a member said in his testimony.

We were also privileged to have Pastor Grace and Pastor Seph Njenga grace the occasion with their teachings based on the word of God.

To accommodate people of all ages and gender, the night also saw the launching of H.O.T-27, whose members will be composed of those over the age of 26.

The group currently divided into three

The high school ministry: Aimed at reaching the teens (will officially be launched in August, 2014)
Home of Transformation 26 and below: Aimed at reaching the youths under 26 years.
Home of Transformation 27 and above: Aimed at reaching the young professionals

It is our prayer that we will be able to reach every teen, youth and young professional with the transforming message of God through His son Jesus Christ under the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
